OUR STORY

Sally's Delights is a home-based bakery in Cypress, TX, owned and operated by Sally Mulumba. Sally is a full-time nurse, mother, sister, and wife, who has a therapeutic passion for baking. She has been baking for over 30 years, and her love for baking started as a hobby growing up in Cameroon that she shared with her family and friends. Her passion for baking grew into a business that reflects her personal touch and story through the heaping amount of love she puts into every cake and design. Sally's Delights aims to provide delicious and high-quality treats for special events and celebrations, offering customization options for cakes in terms of shapes, sizes, flavors, and toppings.

 

Our goal is to make your special day even more memorable with our custom-designed cakes. From birthday cakes to wedding cakes, we take pride in creating unique cakes that reflect your personality and style. We use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients to ensure that our cakes not only look great but taste amazing too. Hello, my name is Sally, a Baker, Nurse, Wife and Mother of 3 wonderful children. I was born and raised in Cameroon and moved to the USA in 1993.

 

My love for baking and cooking started at an early age of 7 when I was a sous chef for my mother. I remember creaming butter and sugar with a wooden spoon for about 20mins. We didn't use measurements but the cakes always came out moist and delicious. I would even try to create recipes from a set of French cookbooks my Mom had (don't ask me how they turned out..lol). I would read those books and dream of being a chef.

 

Even at the tender age of 10, I had an uncle who would give me money almost every week to make him a cake..(RIP Daddy Barna).

 

Fast forward to 2013, I was already known for my pound cakes but I was challenged to make a four tier fondant covered wedding cake, out of state. When I accomplished that, I knew I could accomplish anything.

 

My passion for baking has led me into making cakes, French Tarts, Baguettes, Brioches, cupcakes, cake jars and anything flour related. A day in the kitchen baking is all I need to get me through a stressful day.

 

As a Nurse, Mother and Wife, I am able to combine my passion for people with my passion for baking to provide the best experience possible.
